Sodium methylsilicate is an organic compound that appears colorless or pale yellow in liquid form. It is a new type of rigid building waterproofing material with good permeability and crystallinity. The silanol group in its molecular structure reacts with the silanol group in silicate materials to dehydrate and crosslink, thereby achieving the "anti capillary effect" to form an excellent hydrophobic layer, while also having the functions of micro expansion and increasing compactness. This is the mechanism by which the product has an efficient waterproof effect.

Scope of use

1. Widely applicable for waterproofing and moisture-proof of roofs, interior and exterior walls, floors, bathrooms, kitchens, basements, and warehouses, as well as for waterproofing and anti-seepage of reinforced concrete structures;

2. Used for underground civil air defense projects, such as culverts, bridges, dams, tunnels, large hydropower stations, and water diversion projects, to reduce water erosion and prevent weathering;

3. Used for various types of water tanks, such as swimming pools, clean water tanks, sewage tanks, water towers, etc;

4. Used for impregnating highly absorbent inorganic aggregates, such as perlite boards, roof tiles, cement bricks, lightweight brick veneers for high-rise buildings, asbestos, inorganic fabrics, insulation materials, etc., to achieve significant waterproof and moisture-proof effects;

5. Used for waterproofing, color protection, pollution prevention, and aging prevention of water-soluble building coatings, it has been widely used in exterior wall finishes;

6. Used as an additive for latex paint, water glass, etc., it can make it have obvious hydrophobicity and maintain stable bonding strength;

7. Used for oil drilling, it can adjust mud viscosity and density, effectively prevent drilling collapse, and improve drilling rate;
